Brief on Creek Industrial Estate (CIE) Project
Creek Industrial Estate (CIE) is a mix estate development project on a site of 1600 hectares of land located in Snake Island. Fifty percent (50%) of the Island is dedicated to industrial layout while the balance is allocated for commercial, residential and social uses. It is largely an infrastructure project whose deliverable are service lands, road and bridges facilitated by a master plan. CIE will features a 3 kilometers bridge linking the mainland region to Snake Island network of road, power and gas distribution infrastructure etc. It incorporates a 1,200 MW IPP that will provide the needed power to drive the complex.
CIE promises an orderly and clean development of the area with full infrastructure provided and designed to be serviced by water, mono-rail & road transportation directly linking Badagry Express Way to Victoria Island.
CIE project whose engagement with LAGOS started in December 2012 (Six years ago) has transited three LASG administrations. The project status is now waiting to receive political blessings through LASG Executive Council (EXCO).
